We will be celebrating fathers tomorrow as we continue our “Shine On” series. Drive-Up Worship begins at 10 AM. You are asked to please plan to arrive by 9:30 AM in order to get parked and be ready to start at 10AM. Worship guidelines can be found here. Please familiarize yourself with them as we strive to ensure the safety of everyone during this ongoing pandemic. Remember, in the event of rain or severe wind, worship will be virtual ONLY. You can join the live stream through Facebook and the recording on our YouTube channel or through our website.
Our Summer Intern from Wesley Seminary, Jennifer Grimelli, begins June 21st. Please join me in welcoming her during these unprecedented times that she will be serving with us. Her primary focus will be expanding our footprint in the community by establishing relationships with our local elected officials and community stakeholders.
With MoCo moving into phase 2, the church office will again return to regular office hours, Mon-Fri, 10 AM – 3 PM. New procedures have been implemented, as we operate out of an abundance of caution to protect church staff and office visitors, as best we can. Appointments will be needed. Please take time to review the new safety guidelines. They are posted here. Contact the church office with any questions regarding these procedures or to make an appointment.
On Tuesday, June 23, at 7 PM, Oak Chapel will have its monthly prayer meeting via ZOOM. Be on the lookout for the ZOOM invite. You can join by phone or electronic device. With so much going on in our country, I hope you will join me and the prayer ministry in a time of prayer.
Affordable Housing Campaign
If you have not contributed to the Affordable Housing Campaign, I ask that you please consider doing so. We know how important it is for people to have affordable housing. We also know how expensive it is to live in Montgomery County. I hope it is your heart’s desire for Oak Chapel to be a part of the affordable housing solution. Let’s put our treasure where our heart is. Please follow your heart and make a financial contribution to this worthy project. You can donate here.
Oak Chapel is searching for an Office Manager. Dimitria’s term is coming to an end. If you know of someone interested, have them submit a resume through the office email or check the website for more information.
Please take an opportunity to review the new website. Rich is going through great lengths to update our digital footprint.
Kudos to Rev. Rochelle for keeping our social media sites updated.
