Dimitria M. Wilbur, M.Div.

Dimitria began attending Oak Chapel UMC (OC) in 2011 and served as an intern for a year (2012/13) while pursuing an M.Div. at Wesley Theological Seminary (’14). She has continued affiliation with OC and in the past two years has served on the OC leadership team in various capacities to include treasurer and trustee. In prior years, Dimitria has also served as facilitator for the Tuesday night prayer group. Most recently she was temporarily employed as the Office Manager for Oak Chapel. In addition to serving as Oak Chapel’s treasurer for 2021, Dimitria is self-employed providing administrative/bookkeeping services to small businesses.

Dimitria has been a dedicated servant of the Lord for over 20 years. Although she has  been committed to service at Oak Chapel UMC, she is a member of Montrose Baptist  Church in Rockville, MD under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Ken Fentress. Dimitria has  experience as a Chaplain with previous employment at Sibley Memorial Hospital in  Washington, DC. She was also a volunteer caregiver at CaringMatters, a non-profit  hospice organization in Montgomery County.  

Dimitria is happily married and lives in Silver Spring with her husband, Carl. Her  favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all thing through Christ which strengthens  me” because it speaks of the Christian’s contentment in whatever situation the Lord  orchestrates or allows. Her favorite hymns are “We’ve Come This Far by Faith” and “Standing in the Need of Prayer.”
